Latest List of China's Visa Exemption Countries

Based on the most recent search results, China's current visa exemption policies fall into three main categories. The specific lists and validity periods are as follows:

I. Unilateral Visa Exemption Countries (as of November 4, 2025)

China has implemented a unilateral visa exemption policy for ordinary passport holders from the following 45 countries, allowing them to enter for business, tourism, visiting relatives/friends, exchanges, or transit for a stay of no more than 30 days:

Europe: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia

Asia: South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar

Americas: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay

Others: Australia, New Zealand

 

Note:

· Sweden’s visa exemption policy is valid from November 10, 2025, to December 31, 2026.

· Ordinary passport holders from the above countries do not need to apply for a visa in advance but must ensure their passport remains valid throughout their stay in China.

II. Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement Countries (as of October 23, 2025)

China has mutual visa exemption agreements with the following 29 countries. Holders of all passport types generally do not require a visa for short-term travel:

Europe: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominica, Ecuador, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Mauritius, Serbia, Seychelles, San Marino, Suriname, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Malaysia

Americas: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Fiji

Others: United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Malaysia

 

Note:

· Visa-free entry typically allows a stay of up to 30 days. Those intending to stay longer must apply for residency procedures.

· As of June 12, 2025, China implements a 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit policy for passengers from the following 55 countries holding valid international travel documents:

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus

Americas: Norway, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile

Asia: Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia

Others: Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan

 

Note:

The policy applies to passengers transiting through a third country/region to China on valid international travel documents with a stay not exceeding 240 hours.

Friendly Reminder:

· Calculation of Stay Period: The permitted stay period starts from the day after entry, allowing continuous stay for up to 30 calendar days.

· Multiple Entries: Eligible individuals may use the visa-free policy multiple times, provided each stay complies with the regulations.
