ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT BEGINS AT BROOKLYN SUBWAY STATION
The NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) was set to begin work replacing elevators at the Borough Hall subway station, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported on July 10. MTA said the elevators, which allow access to several lines in the station, "have reached the end of their useful lifespan." Passengers who use the station's elevators will be directed to use an existing bus route to the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, which is equipped with Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant elevators. The project was set to begin on July 13 and continue through spring 2021.
