ALL OLD ELEVATORS IN RUSSIA CAN BE REPLACED IN FIVE YEARS

        By the middle of February 2025, it is necessary to replace over 140 thousand of old elevators, said Sergey Chernyshov, a member of the Praesidium of the Public Council by the Ministry of Construction.

Regional overhaul operators will replace all elevators with expired lifetime in the apartment buildings in the Russian Federation by the middle of February 2025. This was reported on Friday by Sergey Chernyshov, the head of Commission on elevators, a member of the Praesidium of the Public Council by the Ministry of Construction of Russia

“Our objective is to replace all elevators with expired lifetime in the apartment buildings by February 15, 2025. This work is in progress under support of the Ministry of Construction, and we can see a positive trend. The objective is to replace over 140 old elevators for 5 years,’ - he said.

According to clarifications in the explanatory notices to the meeting of the Praesidium of the Public Council by the results of 2018 the regional overhaul operators have contracted the works for replacement of 17.66 thousand elevators (plus 18%) in 70 constitutional entities of the Russian Federation for the amount of 40 bln. roubles (plus 21%). The leaders of 2019 in terms of signature of the contracts for replacement of elevators in the apartment buildings became Moscow, Moscow Region, Krasnodar Territory, Republic of Bashkortostan and Crimea, St. Petersburg, Rostov Region, Leningrad Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra.
