CASINO CELEBRATES AMENITIES, INCLUDING REVAMPED ELEVATORS

Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, held a first-anniversary celebration that included a ribbon-cutting for new amenities, including a pair of service elevators that were converted into public elevators, The Press of Atlantic City recently reported. A spokesperson for the Ocean told ELEVATOR WORLD the elevators were formerly back-of-house service units. Otis remodeled them with all-new cab interiors, including walls, floors and lighting, and reconfigured the controller to block access to non-public floors. The improvements were a hit with guests. "It seems that they're turning it around," visitor Greg Murphy told the source.
