RESTORATION OF FISHER BUILDING TO CONTINUE

Owners of the Fisher Building in Detroit secured loan refinancing that will allow them to continue maintenance and preservation efforts on the historic building in New Center, Curbed Detroit reports. The new loan of US$36 million will allow for modernization of three elevators, restoration of the brass entrance doors, renovation of public bathrooms and construction of a new conference center. The owners have reportedly already spent approximately US$1.4 million on masonry repairs, an overhauled fire alarm and sprinkler system and four modernized elevators.
