SALT LAKE CITY POLICE RESCUED FROM ELEVATOR BY FIREFIGHTERS

Salt Lake City police officers needed rescuing after getting trapped in an elevator in their own public safety building. According to a June 10 report from Rocket City Now, nine police employees were stuck in the elevator and had to await rescue from the city fire department. "I would like to say it was like any other call, but we particularly enjoyed bringing those police officers out,” Salt Lake City Fire Captain Kevin Kochevar said. When the police called 911, the operator had a hard time believing them, asking, “SIR, did I copy you’re stuck in the elevator of our own public safety building?” When alerted that the firefighters were coming, the police officer said, “Oh great, these jokes write themselves! I’ll bet they can’t wait to post this on social media!” They soon did.
