WOMAN HURT DURING FALL INTO UNALIGNED ELEVATOR

A food service employee was injured when she fell into an incorrectly leveled elevator at Erie High School in Erie, Pennsylvania, GoErie.com reports. Officials said the woman was pulling a cart as she was backing into the elevator, which had failed to align with hall floor. As she fell, she hit her head, and the cart fell on top of her. Firefighters responding to the call secured the elevator and removed the woman. She was taken to a hospital, but the extent of her injuries was not available. Officials said the floor of the elevator stopped about a foot below the hall floor.
