NYC HOSTS BACK-TO-BACK BUILDING SHOWS

Signs of early spring in NYC signal that the building tradeshows will make their annual visit to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. First was NY Build on March 12-13. This show is geared to the general contractor with a corresponding lineup of vendors. Although the elevator trade was represented, your reporter was a bit disappointed with the representation of our trade. On April 2-3, the Javits Center hosted the Buildings NY tradeshow, run by Reed Expo. This show captured our industry with multiple vendors and two educational sessions: “Elevator Upgrade: Are You Prepared?” and “Vertical Style — What Does Your Elevator Say About Your Brand?” All in all, NYC is still bustling with elevator activity, and these tradeshows provide both the educational and social opportunities for many to see other trades, vendors or new products outside of their own Industry. Reported by Matt Jackson, EW Correspondent
