DURST-DEVELOPED RESIDENTIAL TOWER RISING IN QUEENS

Details have changed slightly since ELEVATOR WORLD last reported on Queens Plaza Park, designed by Handel Architects and developed by The Durst Organization in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, New York. Now the structure is starting to rise, New York YIMBY reports. With a shimmery, concave profile, the 67-story, 755-ft.-tall tower will offer 985 residences, including 300 that are “affordable,” and an array of amenities at 29-37 First Avenue. On April 1, work had passed the second floor. No completion date has been announced for the tower, which will count among its neighbors the 67-story Skyline Tower designed by Hill West Architects at 23-15 44th Drive.
