INFANT DIES FROM FALLING FROM ESCALATOR AT CHINESE MALL

A 3-month-old boy died as a result of falling three floors from an escalator at a shopping mall in Dongguan, China, on March 30, International Business Times is among news outlets to report. Described by local authorities as a “horrific accident,” the incident was captured on video. It shows the child’s mother losing her balance and the infant slipping from her left hand. She and her elder child rushed down the escalator, but the baby was unresponsive, and paramedics’ attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
