TURKEVI CENTER HEADED TOWARD 2020 COMPLETION IN MANHATTAN

Turkevi Center, Turkey’s new 35-story, 563-ft.-tall consulate/apartment building in NYC’s Midtown East, is headed toward completion in 2020 as it rises quickly above the Turtle Bay neighborhood, New York YIMBYreports. With a tapered profile designed by Perkins Eastman, the structure will contain 102,000 sq. ft. of commercial space on the first 15 floors, a cellar-level auditorium, offices, a prayer room, passport and visa offices and 20 apartments for staff and visitors starting on the 20th floor. There will be outdoor terraces on the seventh, 11th and 16th floors, and occupants will enjoy uninterrupted views of the United Nations headquarters and the East River. Its location is at 821 First Avenue between East 45th and East 46th streets.
