OSAKA HIGH RISE SET TO BECOME TALLEST IN REGION

Sumitomo Realty & Development is shooting for a 2022 opening for its 56-story, 191-m-tall tower containing high-end rental apartments and a 202-room hotel near JR Osaka Station in Osaka, Japan, Japan Property Centralreports. Expected to be one of Sumitomo's La Tour properties, the building is currently under construction. Upon completion, it will be the tallest tower in the region, with the hotel on floors four through eight and 836 apartments above. Sumitomo hopes to attract expats and corporate executives to the development in the city's Umeda District.
