CRYSTALLINE SUPERTALL TOPS OUT IN SOUTHERN CHINA

The 403-m-tall Nanning China Resources Center Tower topped out recently in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Province in southern China, Goettsch Partners (GP) announced. Containing a 336-key Shangri-La hotel, more than 170,000-m2 of office space and 6,000 m2 of retail, it has a crystalline appearance with a high-performance glass façade with integrated sunshades. Meeting Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold standards, the tower is among more than 30 GP-designed skyscrapers — including two supertalls at least 300 m tall — completed or under construction in San Francisco; Chicago; and Nashville, Tennessee, as well as in Europe and Asia.
