24-STORY MIXED-USE BUILDING PLANNED IN BRONX

A 24-story, 243-ft.-tall building containing 190 residences, commercial space and community facilities is envisioned by Cheskel Schwimmer of CGS Builders on a vacant lot at 224 East 135th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, New York, New York YIMBY reports. If Schwimmer’s permits are approved, there will be 292,716 sq. ft. for residential space, 13,474 sq. ft. for commercial space and 4,375 sq. ft. for community space within a concrete structure. There would also be 216 parking spots. Fariba Makooi of Fischer Makooi Architects has been tapped to design the tower, but no construction timeframe has been announced.
