THYSSENKRUPP TO MAINTAIN TURKEY TRANSIT VT EQUIPMENT
thyssenkrupp Elevator's Aegean-Mediterranean branch has secured a contract from Antalya Büyükşehir Municipality in Antalya, Turkey, to maintain and repair 95 escalators and 73 elevators at and around an overpass. thyssenkrupp Elevator tells ELEVATOR WORLD the vertical-transportation (VT) system includes 25 Schindler units, 13 thyssenkrupp units, 10 KONE units and 15 Fujitec units. The remaining 105 units were provided by local companies. Branch Manager Muhittin Batgiray observed, "This major contract in Turkey's tourism capital, Antalya, not only provides the excellent product quality of thyssenkrupp, but also our superb quality of service." thyssenkrupp Elevator Special Projects Regional Manager Berkay Bulut said the contract is "another example of thyssenkrupp Turkey's success on infrastructure and mass-transit projects."
