60-STORY TOWER POISED TO STAND OUT IN LOWER MANHATTAN

As 2018 draws to a close, New York YIMBY is providing updates on the 30 tallest towers under construction in New York City’s five boroughs, starting with One Seaport, or 161 Maiden Lane, a 60-story, 670-ft.-tall residential structure that’s already cutting a striking figure on the Lower Manhattan skyline. Developed by Fortis Property Group, designed by Hill West Architects and constructed by Pizzarotti LLC, One Seaport boasts a slender, curtain-wall profile with protruding balconies stacked on top of one another “to form a smooth, elegant curve wrapping around the south and east elevations.” With the building recently topped out, a pair of penthouse units are now visible at the top. Mechanical floors directly above the penthouses will be clad in LED lights to form the crown. Completion is anticipated by 2020. ‍‍‍‍‍‍
