TRAPEZOIDAL RESIDENTIAL SKYSCRAPER RISING IN BROOKLYN
Brooklyn Point, also known as 138 Willoughby Street, is halfway toward its 720-ft. pinnacle as it heads for topping out in mid 2019 in downtown Brooklyn, New York, New York YIMBY reports. The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building has a trapezoidal footprint; a staggered façade with large windows; and will be topped by a distinctive, sloping roof. Notable also for what will be New York City’s highest outdoor infinity pool — a 65-ft.-long saltwater pool on the rooftop — Brooklyn Point will contain 458 units within 686,800 sq. ft. and 40,000 sq. ft. of amenities such as a screening room, wine cellar, rock-climbing room, children's play area and exercise rooms. Extell is the developer, and SLCE Architects is the architect of record. Completion is anticipated in 2020.
